ARBI events help increase awareness in the community about brain injury. They also help raise funds to continue to support the lives of brain injury survivors, as they work hard to regain independence.

Sponsor our Survivors - October 12, 2011
Nearly 150 members of corporate Calgary attended our annual Sponsor our Survivors breakfast event October 12th, at the Calgary Petroleum Club. Luke, a young brain injury survivor, and his family,
courageously shared their story and inspired the captive audience.
To-date the campaign has raised $228,000, 83% of our goal of $275,000, thanks to all of those who have participated. Even though we are close we still need your help. Visit our Give page to see all the different donation options available.
This year we were so glad to have our esteemed hosts’ return, community leaders Jim Gray and Brenda Mackie, lending their support. Tim Hamilton, managing partner at Odgers and Berndtson did a fabulous job again this year as our M.C.; sharing his
experience of the event as a rarity in that “you will laugh and cry in the same morning”. Dr. Sean Dukelow, MD, Ph.D., FRCPC Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department of Clinical Neurosciences, member of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute, also returned as a keynote speaker, knowledgeably presenting on the topic of memory.

Astoria Group Charity Classic - September 17, 2012
Astoria Group of Companies held a golf tournament in support of ARBI on September 19, 2011 at the beautiful Heritage Pointe Golf Club. Through sponsorship, auction and donation, $105,000 was raised for ARBI.

Firewater Friday, 2011
Every year, Peters & Co. selects a charity organization to be the recipient of all funds raised during the annual "Firewater Friday" Stampede party. This year, Peters & Co., in collaboration with its clients, families, and friends, has donated the 2011 proceeds from "Firewater Friday" to ARBI, a remarkable amount of $60,000.
This well attended and high-profile event raised more than dollars. It also enhanced ARBI's image and increased awareness of brain injuries and stroke.

December is a month of festivities enjoyed with family and friends. Celebrate the season with the ARBI family, as we gather to enjoy each other’s company, holiday music and more food than you can fit in your belly.
