Introducing ARBI’s New Technology Connection Program Helping Brain Injury Survivors Reconnect with the World
We are excited to share that ARBI will be piloting a new program in 2026 designed to support adults living with an acquired brain injury (stroke or other) in reconnecting with technology to meet their goals.
This innovative program focuses on introducing and building confidence in skills to use devices such as mobile phones, tablets and computers (including AAC devices). For example, participants can learn how to navigate the internet, send and receive email and text messages, use social media, explore YouTube, and more — all at a comfortable, supportive pace.
Program Structure
- Small group format (maximum: 6 participants per session)
- Sessions offered on Mondays
- Each group will run for 12 weeks
Who this program is for
This pilot program is open to individuals with a moderate-to-severe brain injury who have a goal around using technology. Six groups will be offered over the course of this year, with specialized groups assigned for individuals with more complex needs.
An individual must also meet additional eligibility criteria to participate. This will be determined upon registering and after review of the team.
Program Dates
Spring/Summer Semester: June 8 – August 24 (Registration deadline June 1)
Fall Semester: September 14 – November 30
