June 4, 2024 > Annual Reports
In 2024, our organization celebrated a year of substantial advancements and significant growth, made possible by the unwavering support of our dedicated funders, donors, volunteers, and advocates. Through these collaborative efforts, we have introduced new programs and initiatives that further our mission to support brain injury and stroke survivors. Here are some highlights from our 2024 Annual Report:
- Introducing New Technology: Thanks to the generous support of donors, we introduced the Xcite2 functional electrical stimulation (FES) device. This device has helped clients relearn movement sequences and achieve newfound levels of functional independence.
- Fitness and Mobility Exercise (FAME) Program: Launched in the spring of 2023, our first FAME class was a tremendous success, involving 10 participants with varying abilities. This program maximizes staff resources and enhances social engagement among clients with shared rehabilitation goals.
- Wellness Services: ARBI secured a $362K grant from the Family and Community Support Services through the City of Calgary, covering the 2022-23 and 2023-24 fiscal years, allowing us to expand our mental health services for clients, families, and caregivers.
- Survey Results: Our recent client survey revealed that 85.7% of participants felt that ARBI’s rehabilitation program helped them reach their personal goals, and 100% reported an improvement in their quality of life.
These achievements, along with many others, are detailed in our annual report. We invite you to explore how ARBI continues to make a difference in the lives of brain injury and stroke survivors. Dive into the report and witness the impact of your support on their journey to recovery.
