June is Brain Injury, Stroke & Aphasia Awareness Month
May 31, 2024 > News
In June, we honour Brain Injury, Stroke, and Aphasia Awareness Month, acknowledging the remarkable resilience of survivors, caregivers, and communities. Each year in Alberta, over 5,000 individuals confront the sudden impact of brain injuries, emphasizing the critical need for community-based rehabilitation services. At ARBI, we’re dedicated to providing vital support to survivors and their caregivers, empowering them to navigate their recovery journey with resilience.
Brain injuries can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. These injuries not only disrupt the lives of survivors but also impact their families and communities. Throughout this month, ARBI is committed to raising awareness about the importance of comprehensive neurorehabilitation and ongoing support for those affected by brain injuries.
We invite you to join us in advocating for increased understanding, resources, and access to rehabilitation services. By fostering education, support, and community engagement, we can empower survivors to overcome obstacles and rebuild their lives with hope and determination.
Join ARBI this June as we amplify the voices of survivors, caregivers, and advocates, highlighting the transformative power of community-based rehabilitation. Follow ARBI on social media to stay updated on our Survivor Stories series and share these powerful stories with your network.
